The ResetEra thread points out a post by Spanish gaming outlet AREAJUGONES saying that the Metal Gear Solid remake is indeed a reality. The rumor starts by saying that this remake will be PlayStation 5 exclusive....

Earlier this month, the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) filed a suit to block Microsoft’s intended merger with Activision-Blizzard. “The Federal Trade Commission is seeking to block technology giant Microsoft Corp. from acquiring leading video game developer Activision Blizzard, Inc. and its blockbuster gaming franchises such as Call of Duty, alleging that the $69 billion deal, Microsoft’s largest ever and the largest ever in the video gaming industry, would enable Microsoft to suppress competitors to its Xbox gaming consoles and its rapidly growing subscription content and cloud-gaming business”, the FTC’s reasoning behind the suit reads....

Both regulators have also now begun deeper reviews of the deal. According to the NYT report, the US Federal Trade Commission is reviewing the deal with over ten staff members, who interviewed Microsoft executives like CEO Satya Nadella and president Brad Smith....

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Orion spacecraft for the Artemis 1 mission beamed back the first images of planet Earth just moments back. Orion was launched on the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket early in the morning today, after a months long effort saw NASA stand down several times to make some last minute changes on what is now officially the world’s largest rocket. After it was launched, Orion conducted a variety of maneuvers, which involved raising its orbit and orienting itself to the Moon’s trajectory as part of a 25 day mission that will test the spacecraft’s myriad of different systems before it returns to Earth traveling at breakneck speeds and temperatures that cannot be tested in Earth....

Today, a brand new Unreal Engine 5 project was announced, by a development studio known as NCSoft, a developer hailing from South Korea. Chip designer NVIDIA Corporation fell short of its guidance as it posted its earnings report for the first quarter of its fiscal year 2023 earlier today.
